IS YOUR ENGLISH LISTENER-FRIENDLY? If you hear, "Can you repeat that?" a lot, then your English may not be listener-friendly.
That means your listeners have to work hard to understand you. And that leads to frustration for them, and for you.
What's more, if you have a client-facing position such as salesperson, customer service manager, or consultant, fine-tuning your pronunciation can help you create better rapport with your clients.
LOSE THE CONFUSION. NOT YOUR ACCENT. Good news! You don't have to completely lose your accent to lose the confusion. Well Said Coaching can help you adjust your speech patterns so your spoken English is easier to understand, even with an accent.
Depending on your goals and your speech, we will work on improving the "music" of your English (such as intonation and stress), modifying specific sounds, or both. With knowledge and practice, you can make your English "listener-friendly".
YOUR WELL SAID COACH Your Well Said Coach, Karen, is a native English speaker and communications expert. She earned her certification in TESL from the University of California Berkeley extension and her B.S. in Speech from Northwestern University. A former professional actress and writer, she loves to help people say it well, every day!
Karen is able to hear my subtle mistakes in pronunciation and explain them to me. I highly recommend Karen to anyone who learnt English as a second language, has a good basic knowledge of English but wants to improve her/his speaking skills. -- Alexander S.
